31 Day Challenge: Day 7- Black and White

Hey guys! Today is the 7th installment of the 31 day challenge. The theme is black and white nails.

My mind has been so preoccupied recently that I keep forgetting to take pictures earlier on in the day. But never fear! I do have the pictures for you all.

One of my favorite shows is the Twilight Zone and it's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw that today would be black and white nails.

I love the way these turned out! Though I should have done them a bit more carefully. I thought they were going to be a lot harder to do but I think this is probably the easiest nail art that I have ever done!
I remember a few years back, (11 years to be exact), I had contacts like this. They were my favorite things to wear. I was 17 at that time and worked as a receptionist for an optometrist and she gifted me the contacts.

I used Wet n Wild Black creme and some white acrylic paint.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!!!\

31 Day Challenge: Day 6- Purple

Ok ok. So today is supposed to be violet nails but I decided to just make them purple! This post is a bit late today because I've been playing The Sims 3 Supernatural all day! I also have been watching Hocus Pocus. I also got a collapsible light box and an an Ottlite. This week has brought on a lot of fun things!!
I am really loving the way my nails came out!!

I used Hits Powerpuff Girls in Pretty as my base coat. I used various purple acrylic paints. Purple and teal bullion beads and square rhinestones. Oh and star instead of a cherry! My polka dots definitely did not turn out as I wanted. They ended up looking smudged.

Does anyone have any tips on how to make the rhinestones straight? I tried my hardest and they still ended up crooked haha.

Tomorrow is day 7 and it called for Black and white nails! I already know what I am going to do and I am sooo excited!

I hope everyone is doing well!

xoxo

31 Day Challenge: Day 4 - Green

Hey guys!

I hope you all had a great weekend. Today is day 4 and it calls for green! I've had this idea in my head for a long time now and this was the perfect opportunity to do it.

I used China Glaze Starboard, Wet n Wild Black Creme, black and white acrylic. Chez Delaney plate A37
Looking at this manicure, I wish I used a lighter green. Perhaps next time!

Can I just add how much I am in love with these nails. They are extremely cute.
I feel like my other nails lack. Hmm time to brain storm some more.
The stitches look a bit boring.

I really dig the way my green nails turned out.Hopefully, I can kick it up a notch!

See you tomorrow on Day 5 Blue nails!

Freshly Picked

Hello my lovelies!!

It's about that time that I crawl out from under my seasonally depressed rock. The winter just really bums me out! I really did try hard to update everyday. I took pictures of my manicure but just never posted them! I'll post them as time goes on.

Today's nail art features juicy red strawberries *smacks lips* YUM!

Ew my cuticles look horrible!! They don't look like that in person!
Base: China Glaze Hey Sailor
Acrylic Paint

See!! The cuticles don't look horrible here.
Anyways, these nails cheered up my day!
It started off dark and rainy.
I am just happy that it's getting warmer
and the days are getting longer!

Lump Off!

Hey amores!
I hope everyone is well. I have been loving this weather we've been having. The only downfall of having a snowless winter is that I haven't been able to go sledding or tubing yet. A few days ago it was in the 60s here!!!! I am craving Spring and Summer!

Today I have for you Lumpy Space Princess and some Lumpy Space People.
Melissa, Lumpy Space Princess, Brad.
Melissa had an accident with my desk.
She got smudged and somehow resembles Kirby.
This was a lot of fun to do and I hardly used acrylic paint.
I mainly used nail polish.
WHAT THE LUMP?!

Battery low, shutdown

Hola Amores!

This week has been tiresome. I had an endoscopy on Wednesday and I had an MRI today. I've been throwing up because of the stuff they have pumped into me. I am just happy that we are one step closer to find out why I have been so sick.

I am continuing with my Adventure Time nail art. There is so much to do I am unsure of when I will be done!

Name: Beemo
Gender: None
Species: Robot
Occupation: Video Game System

Yes, Finn, it goes in my butt.
Base Color: China Glaze Aquadelic
Acrylic Paint
The MRI technician fell in love with my nails.
She squealed when she saw them.

I hope you enjoyed this manicure!
I love it!
I think my next one will be Lumpy Space Princess and Lumpy Space People.
I am open to suggestions!

Until tomorrow my loves.

Propane and Propane Accessories!

Hola amores!

I hope everyone is doing well! I have decided that I am going to be doing swatches a lot more now as well as stamping. I love doing freehand nail art but I don't always have time for it. I've been busy recently which is why I have sadly neglected my blog. I am going to try to update it as much as I can.
I love that blogger now has the option to reply to comments left on blogs. It makes it so much easier to respond to you all so make sure to check that out.

Onward to my manicures!!!
Luanne Platter and the Manger Babies.
I only did 2 of the 4 Manger Babies because I was quite exhausted.
The men of Rainy Street.
(left to right)
Boomhauer (who ended up looking like a muppet)
Hank Hill
Dale Gribble
Dale

This was a fun series to do. I could have gone on and on but I wanted to move on to another series.
I have so many ideas but I think for the next few days, I will be posting swatches!!

Until tomorrow amores.

Peggy Hill es bueno

Hola chicas!!!

I hope everyone is doing well. Today I have two manicures for you! Neither of them are winners but I would like to share them anyways.

First up is a manicure using feathers from Michaels. It took me an hour and a half to do one hand. It is so far from perfect.
Base coat: OPI Nail Envy
Base Color: L'Oreal Club Prive
Nails inc top coat.
Feather
2 more top coats.
It was super hard to get them to stick!!!
I love them but this came out horrible.
My cuticles are not dry, that was the topcoat that got everywhere!
I think I will use glue next time.
I am definitely going to try this again.
Any tips on the feather mani?

Manicure numero dos!
PEGGY HILL!! FROM KING OF THE HILL
Base color: nails inc Warwick Way
Acrylic paint
I don't know where I went wrong with Peggy nose.
Her lips look like she got them injected haha
Oh Peggy!
I need to practice doing noses and lips.

Oh and I want to thank everyone who follows me.
I finally reached 200 followers!!
Thank you all so much!!!

I am addicted to them and definitely need more.

I used Bettina Jeans Over Dyed as the base color
Jeans Over Dyed is so gorgeous and was completely opaque in one coat!!!!!
And topped it off with Lynnderella Bibbitty Bobbitty Boo Blue (LOVE)
I present to thee Bobby Hill and the head he learned to kiss on!

I see you!!!

Hello my darlings!
I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas. Mine was amazing. I couldn't be happier. I am so blessed to have an amazing family and friends.
My boyfriend got me the most amazing gifts ever. I screamed and cried when I opened up my gift.
HE GOT ME MUPPETS!!!
They are called Muppet Whatnots and are from the same company that does Jim Hensons' Muppets.
I have different eyes, noses, hair, glasses.
He put so much thought in these gifts.
He put them in vintage carrying cases.
If you look closely at the picture, you can see my mascara running.
These mean the world to me.

Onto my nails of today!
Base color: American Apparel Manila
White, Black, Red, Purple, Robin's Egg Acrylic paint
I was inspired by a dress I saw but I honestly cannot remember who made it.
Sorry!!!
This was super simple to do.
And can I just say how much I am loving this light box!?
It's amazing!!!!!

Until tomorrow my lovelies!!!!

Frosty!!!

Ok so I am not one for posting twice in a day usually. I did a quick manicure and decided to play around with the light box Chris did for me.
So I wanted to share the results.
How cute are my snowmen?
I really like the light box. I just have to get some better lighting.
During the winter, my hands get really really bad in terms of dryness.

What do you think about the light box?
Better, Worse, same?

De Do De

The day after my birthday, my boyfriend took me to A John Waters Christmas. John Waters is one of my favorite people in the world. He did Cry Baby, Hairspray, Pecker and Pink Flamingos to name a few. He's been my personal hero since I was around 8 years old. That was when I first time I saw Hairspray.

So as a honor to him, I did Pink Flamingo themed nails.
Hahah I think this is all self explanatory.
I wanted to show John Waters my manicure since he was doing a signing afterwards.
But due to the amount of people, I may have had an anxiety attack haha
There is always P-Town next summer.

This is my favorite combo!
For underwear, I used American Apparel African Violet
Then topped it off with two coats of Lynnderella's Love Potion No.99
Lynnderella has easily made it into my top 3 brands of nail polish I love.
There are no words to describe how gorgeous this polish is.
Love Potion No.99 is Purple, violet and fuchsia hexagons and squares in a cool violet base. Multiple sizes and violet holographic micro glitter.
You need this.. It's simple.. You need it!

I came home and was pleasantly surprised that my boyfriend did a light box for me!
This is the first picture using it and I must say that I am loving it.

I hope everyone is doing well!
Time for me to go off and cook and get ready our party tonight.
Until tomorrow!!

Nom Nom Nom

Well hello my dears! I hope everyone is doing great!

Today I have a rather odd Christmas manicure for you.. I am laughing as I type this because it is kind of ridiculous. I don't know what made think of doing this. All I can say is that I am grateful for my very random though process.
Base color: Wet n Wild Black Creme
Acrylic paint for the rest.

Do you see how silly it is? I can't stop laughing. It's so silly! I love it! The tree is a bit sloppy because my blood sugars dropped drastically.

I hope you all enjoyed my manicure today. I know I did!!!

Until tomorrow my lovelies!

Gonna Find Out Who's Naughty And Nice

Hello my lovely readers, I hope everyone is well. Today's been rainy and dreary and I love it. This type of weather makes me want to stay in bed, which I plan on doing.

Today is the 7th day of Christmas and I bring to you Santa coats!
Base color: OPI Alpine Snow (2 coats)
Red and black acrylic paint
Buckle: China Glaze Cheers To You
Of course my Santa is fabulous so I added Lynnderella Ruby Red Ruby to his coat.
Bling bling bling.

Over the weekend, my boyfriend came across a photo of mt first attempt at nail art.
He told me that I have come a long way!
I agree wholeheartedly!
I still have a lot to learn though.
I also got my first request today for nail art!!!

Until tomorrow my lovelies!!

Deck The Halls with Boughs of Holly

Fa la la la la la la la la

Today is the 6th day of Christmas and I bring you Boughs of Holly!!! I'm going to be honest with you, my dear readers. When I first started this mani, I was sure it was going to be a fail. I prepped myself for a horrid outcome. And may I add, that I totally rocked it and didn't fail!

This is another of my pushpin manicures. I just can't seem to find a brush thin enough for my liking.

Base color: Essie Ballet Slippers (3 coats)
Black, white, red, green acrylic paint.

I am so happy with the way these came out!

Until tomorrow my lovelies!

They all shouted out with glee!

Today is the 5th day of my Christmas themed manis. I'm getting excited as each day passes. Honestly, I can't believe it's already December 5th. The past 7 months have flown by!

I have for you, those pesky little reindeer that didn't let Rudolph join in any reindeer games.
Base color: Sally Hansen Big Money
Brown, black, white acrylic paint
Rudolph's nose: Lynnderella Ruby Red Ruby

This was a lot of fun to do.
I had a smile on my face the entire time I was doing my nails!!!

The index reindeer had an eye accident as you can see.
It's small. He was playing with a BB Gun and shot his eye out!

Until tomorrow my lovelies!!

Snowflakes are kisses sent from heaven

On the 4th day of Christmas, my true love did on me
Special looking snowflakes..

I have a feeling that my readers might get tired of me starting the posts that way haha.
I hope everyone is doing well! Currently, I am watching The Muppets Christmas Carol.. If you have not seen it... well, what are you waiting for!? GO!
I must say, that my passion for nail art has returned. I have almost every day planned so far! I am not letting my health bring me down. A positive view is what I promise to have.

Base color: Wet n Wild Black Creme
Layered with Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven
White acrylic paint for the snowflakes topped with China Glaze White Cap
I tried to make each one different because no two are the same!

I wish I could capture how much it glitters. It looks so awesome. It reminds me of that first snowfall.
The snow where no one has stepped, no cars have dirtied.
We got our first snowfall on Halloween but it melted within a Boston.
I am hoping to have a white Christmas.
What do you like about Christmas/Winter?
What do you think of this manicure?
I love hearing your opinions!

Until tomorrow my lovelies!!!

On the 2nd and 3rd day of Christmas...

On the 2nd day of Christmas art, my true love did to me...
Special looking penguins!
Base color: MAC Seriously Hip
White and Black acrylic paint
China Glaze Peachy Keen
I dunno what I would have done to make them look better.
They are extremely special looking.
Eep! Even though are you special looking, my dear penguins, mama still loves you to death!

On the 3rd day of Christmas nail art, my true love did to me...
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!
Base Color: OPI Alpine Snow
Lynnderella Ribbon Candy
Black, blue, green, red, yellow acrylic paint

I like this mani alot. The Lynnderella glitter made it look like a party on my nails!
I am loving December for nail art.
November was a rather dull month for me.
I was diagnosed with certain things and it took it's toll on me.
But this month brings all new things.
My birthday, John Waters show, Christmas, snow, sledding!
What more can a girl ask for?

I also want to thank all of my followers.
I will be having a giveaway when I reach 200!

Until tomorrow!

Thumpetty thump thump

Today is December 1st! Today also marks the first of a month long of Christmas manicures!
Here in Boston, doesn't really feel like December. We've been having very warm weather. It's so unusual.
My birthday is December 9 and every year there has been a snow storm on my birthday. We'll see what happens.

Earlier today, I was playing Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4. The snowmen in Hogsmeade are so adorable so I decided to do a mani based on them.
As a base I used OPI How's it Snowin'? which is a Ulta holiday exclusive.
I used black, white and purple acrylic paint to freehand the snowmen
I want to make this into a feltie!
I now have a new project to keep me busy!!

Extreme close up.. WHOAAAAA
/end Wayne's World scene
They are they cutest little things in the world!!

I have a great idea for what I am going to do tomorrow!
Muahaha

Until tomorrow my lovelies!

It's a love hate relationship

Hello my lacquered lovers!
Sorry I've been MIA but I have been really sick recently and have been undergoing quite a few tests. By the time I get home, I'm exhausted and still feeling the effects from the sedation.
I dislike not posting regularly but I am going to try my hardest to post each day.

Today is day 19 of the 30 days of untrieds. For day 19, I bring to you My Sleigh's In The Shop by Nicole by OPI.

My Sleigh's In The Shop is a fuchsia, purple and gold microglitter.
The gold microglitter adds depth to the polish and manages to bring it to life.
I love NOPI and OPI glitters!
They do them so well.
Left hand!
I was influenced by friend's tattoos. He has love and hate inked on his knuckles.
I'm obsessed with font like this!
Right hand!
The right hand was hard to do. The letters are not the same height.
But I must say that I did a great job using my non-dominant hand!
