Last minute nails

I am really sorry but I have nothing special to show you today. Just some last minute stamping. The party last night was a lot of fun. A lot of people came which is amazing!! Some people had/ to leave earlier because of the freak snow storm. I'm in Boston, we didn't get a lot but I have friends from Salem, MA who had to leave because they got hit bad!

Claw Polish- Phantasm
Stamped with plates from Chez Delaney.

My boyfriend and my costumes. Our costumes are results of failed costume ideas.
There will always be next year!
My nails were a huge hit at our party last night.
Many people got queasy last night.
Therefore that means it was a huge success!!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!
Until tomorrow my pretties!

Not For The Faint

Proceed with caution!!!

I WAS BURIED ALIVE! I HAD TO CLAW MYSELF OUT!

heheh My nails are part of my Halloween costume. This took about 30 minutes to do!! My costume wasn't what I wanted to be so instead I did my nails and build my costume around them. It was a lot of fun to do. I mean looking at them, I felt my fingers hurting. I filed down my thumb and pinky to the nubs which I really wish I hadn't down. Oh well, they will grow back!

(Left hand)
Fake nails
Red and purple lipstick
Red food coloring!!

(Left Hand)

Here is a crappy cell phone picture of my Right hand!

I now have to do everyone's makeup!!
I will post my makeup and costume later.

Tata my lovlies!!

The Itsy Bitsy Spider....

Is not so itsy around Halloween...

Not feeling today's manicure at all. I'm just not feeling today at all I guess. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed hahaa.

Tomorrow is our Halloween party. Roughly 20 people are coming and I still don't know what I am going to be.  Ahhhh!

So I could only get one decent picture of this manicure. It was being a pain in my ass.

Base Color:
Ulta Witchful Thinking
Sponged with MAC On The Prowl
Black and white acrylic paint
nails inc The Boltons

So now I ask you lovely people..
WHAT ARE YOU BEING FOR HALLOWEEN?

I Keep Telling You, This Isn't A Few Birds'!

These are gulls, crows, swifts...!
-Quote from Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds

My boyfriend gave me the idea to do a Hitchcock inspired mani when I first started doing Halloween themed manis. I forgot about it completely until I opened up my idea notebook and saw it written down.

Alfred Hitchcock is one of my favorite directors ever. I have seen each one of his movies. He always intrigued me. My aunt told me of how she saw the movie on opening day in 1965 and how since that day she has been scared of birds. It's funny really because my family lives in New York for a short time in the 60s, which is home of the pigeons!

 (thumb, middle, pinky)
Base: Wet n Wild Black Creme
White Acrylic paint

(pointer, ring)
Base Color: Ulta Witchful Thinking
Spronged with MAC On The Prowl
Black and white acrylic paint

Doing the crow was a lot of fun.
I planned on doing different birds but during the middle of the mani I felt ill.
So I rushed through the rest.

I hope you all enjoy this mani!
Until tomorrow my pretties!!

Are You Afraid of the Dark?

I've gotten several emails and comments asking me if I do both hands when I do my nail art. The answer is yes. It's hard painting with my non-dominant hand. I take my time with with. It sometimes comes out better than when I paint with my dominant hand!

I also have gotten several requests asking to do a tutorial on my ZOMBIE NAILS, so I plan on doing that first thing November hits.

So this mani I am about to post, could have been executed better. I did it at 4 AM (I suffer from insomnia) and while I was laying down on my bed (lazy me).

There is a reason why I included the spooky eyes and the eyeballs!
The spooky eyes are there because I used to play Bloody Mary and Candyman.
Each time I said their names in the mirror 3 times, I swear I saw eyes!!!

The reason why I included the eyeballs is because when I was around 6 or 7 I saw the movie Phantasm.
When I went to bed I had a nightmare!!
Instead of the little metal ball, it was eyeballs!
Not my best manicure and not my worst.
It was played out a lot better in my head.
But I am not completely disappointed (does that make sense?)

I am not even gonna lie, it's obvious that I am running out of ideas.
A lot of the stuff I want to do, I can't. I don't know how to execute it!
We'll see what tomorrow brings!

Until tomorrow my lovelies!!!

Who done it?

YAY!!! I REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS!!! I WILL BE POSTING A GIVEAWAY THE NEXT FEW DAYS!

I just spent an hour on the phone with Verizon. My internet was broken but they were awesome and helped me fixed. I was really nervous that I wouldn't get the chance to post my nails today.

Tomorrow is another long day for me. I have a doctor's appointment at 8:30 am. Hopefully they can find out why I have been getting so many sinus infections and why my stomach constantly feels as I am getting stabbed. Sorry to complain but I have really been down in the dumps recently.

Base color: Sally Hansen Dorien Grey
China Glaze Naughty and Nice
China Glaze Phat Santa
This was super easy and fun to do.
Though, I think I blew too hard through the straw with my pinky.
It's covered in blood!!!

I hope everyone is doing well!
It's getting colder so keep warm and healthy!
Until tomorrow my pretties!

Who Do Voodoo? We Do!!!

Inspired by the great Johnny Thunders song! I have finally fallen back into my niche. I love today's manicure. I am unsure of why this weekend sucked so bad in regards to my nail art. Can't win them all I guess. I was afraid that I had plateaued. Fin! No more nail art for you! So happy that is not the case!!

I enjoy sharing my failed manicure with you all. I will be redoing those manicures those manicures that I counted as failures. ONTO THE MANICURE!

Base Color: Butter London All Hail The Queen
Tan Acrylic Paint
Wet n Wild Black Creme
China Glaze Hey Sailor
Fantasy Makers Night Glow
China Glaze Devotion
The little guy on my thumb looks like if you ripped Barbie's head off then shoved it back on.
NO NECK!!
Ahhh I love it!!!
I don't know what I am going to do with myself when October ends!
I need a better lamp to photograph my nails with.
Any suggestions?

Hello my beautifuls!
I am sorry for the late late post today. We were bust celebrating my sisters birthday!
I only have one picture of my manicure. It's a total fail. I am not kidding. This just would not translate. This weekend was a horrible weekend for nail art.
China Glaze: Phat Santa
Sally Hansen: Whirlwind White

As I post this, I am cringing. It's so horrible.
They were supposed to be the poison apple from Snow White.
Hahaha far from it.
Oh well!!
Add this to the list of manis to redo!

Until tomorrow my pretties!!

Dead Man's Bones!!!!

Today, I was inspired by the amazing band Dead Man's Bones. Plus, I haven't done a skeleton look yet, well, not that I can remember!

Piggy Polish Nocture-Nail
Today's nails were a lot of fun.
Have you ever done nail art and actually impressed yourself?
Well I am so impressed with how Skelie came out!!!
The bones are another story!!
They are wonky, oddly shaped and hahah I dunno.
Before the clean up. Sheesh, I am very very messy when it comes to doing my nails!
I have a busy weekend ahead of me but I am still going to find time to post my nails.

When The Wolfbane Blooms And The Autumn Moon Is Bright

I was watching The Wolfman (1941.. I DO NOT watch remakes) and got inspired. The Wolfman is one of the very first horror movies I saw as a child.. I was probably 5 or 6 and my uncle was babysitting me. Back then channel 68 would play creature double features on Sundays. Each Sunday he would plop me down in front of the TV and we would watch them together. I love it.
Base Color: OPI Alpine Snow
Brown, Tan, White, Red Acrylic Paint
Sally Hansen Lightening
Wet n Wild Black Creme
So I am going to add this to the re-do list.
I am not sure if I like this or not.
Until tomorrow my lovelies!

This was a lot of fun to do. I did 90% of it with a pushpin!
Hahah
Halloween grows closer and I am growing more and more excited!

Braaaaaaaaaains Or Beauty?

It's getting harder and harder to choose what nail art to do as October breezes by. I have pages upon pages of ideas. October is such a fun month.

I live in Boston and we have been getting warm weather this October. Definitely something out of the ordinary for us. I'm not complaining though. But you can still smell Fall in the air.

For the past 7 years, each October I watch at least two horror movies a day. I have no idea how it got to be. But I am completely obsessed with horror/thriller/slasher films!! If you could see me now, I have a huge smile on my face.

Enough of that. Sheesh! Hahah

Base Color: OPI Alpine Snow
Black acrylic Paint
Zombie Face: OPI Gargantuan Green Grape
Rotting flesh: Essie Going Incognito
Brains: Orly Cotton Candy
Background: Piggy Polish I'll Get You My Pretty
Look at how cute they are! I want to squeeze them!!!

Ki Ki Ki, Ma Ma Ma

It's no secret that I am a horror fanatic... It verges on the edge of horror snob or so I have been told!!
I am feeling a little bit better. This is the second sinus infection I've had this month. I keep putting off seeing the doctor.
Hockey Mask:
Base Color: OPI Mummy Knows Best
Tan acrylic paint stippled with my finger
Black and red acrylic paint for the details
China Glaze: Ghoulish Glow

Machete/Knife:
Base Color: Butter London All Hail The Queen
Black and red acrylic paint
Blade: Deborah Lippmann Waking Up in Vegas mixed with Love & Beauty Silver

I had a lot of fun doing this manicure.
I was watching the season finale of Breaking Bad so it took me a lot longer than I would have liked.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Breaking Bad. Sooo good!!
How cute!! Ah I love them!!
I truly love doing nail art!!
I had an awesome weekend!!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend!!
What's your favorite scary movie?

Until tomorrow my pretties!!!

Do You Like Scary Movies?

Beware! Caution! The Horror!!!

This manicure is such a fail. Not kidding at all. But I tried. So I wanted to do Ghostface from Scream. I really don't know what went wrong. Maybe the fact that I am really sick and I feel like I am dying. Can we just blame it on that? hahaha

Base color: Essie- School of Hard Rocks
Piggy Polish- Nocture-Nail
Black and white acrylic paint
I mean.. They are cute ( I think)
But sooo far from looking like the guy from Scream hahaha
Now that I am looking at them on my computer.. They kind of remind me of lost souls

Any tips on what I should have done?
Until tomorrow my pretties!!

Which Witch?

Once again, I am sick. I have a sinus infection again. I really want to stab my left eye. Despite feeling like I am dying (I maybe exaggerating), I did my nails. I'm going to be honest.. I forgot to moisturize my cuticles.. Please don't hate me for it! Hahaha
Base Color: Kleancolor Purple
Black, white, sea glass acrylic paint,
Hair: Essie School of Hard Rock
Buckle: Sally Hansen Lightening
Piggy Polish- Nocture-Nail
They all glow in the dark!!!
My boyfriend said he doesn't really see how they are witches.
He is more used to the pointy hat and such.
I will be doing that as well.

What do you think about this mani?

I am headed up to New Hampshire for a day or apple cider and the world's largest arcade..
I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
Until tomorrow!!

Creepy Treats

I have a notebook in which I write down my nail ideas. I sat on my bed pouring over the ideas. Yes, no, maybe, hell no, what was I thinking? I decided on candy corn. But the outcome is far from candy corn!
So creepy cupcakes.. To me, they kind of don;t look like cupcakes.
What do you think?
I need to work on making my frosting look more fluffy!
 This is my left hand.
My favorite cupcake is the pointer finger.
I used around 30 polishes for both hands.
Right hand!!!
My favorites are the middle and ring fingers.
The pinky looks squished haha
I really need to work on my cupcakes. Sheesh!
They all glow in the dark.
I love love the eyeballs!

So which creepy cupcake is your favorite??

Monster Lab

I first staredt off with the idea of doing Purple People Eaters.. Then that changed to cyclops. Then it evolved into what you see here.
I seriously cannot help but giggle when I look at this mani.
It cracks me up. Their personalities show through (does that make me sound odd?)
I really cannot remember what I used. All I know is that it's a lot.
If you really want to know what I used, please ask. I don't mind!
My favorite is the guy on my pointer finger. He looks like a pineapple!
Hahah
I have a lot of great ideas coming up for the rest of October.

Until tomorrow my pretties!!!

Where's My Mummy?

I love the cheesy post titles I've been coming up with. Doing my nails every day during the month of October is a lot of fun. I wish I was better are drawing so I could do some slasher stuff. I might try it tonight.
Base Color: OPI Skull and Glossbones
White and Black acrylic
Piggy Polish: Noctur-Nail

They glow in the dark!!!
But since I am horrible at photographing my nails, you will have to image them glowing haha
I was going to do a white base color but decided against it because mummies are old and their wraps are dirty.
So this color made more sense to me!
Such a fan mani! Super easy and super fast to do! Love it!

Until tomorrow my pretties!

Whistling Past The Graveyard

Today is another late post. Sorry! I spent the whole day outside helping my uncle with a project. Thankfully I was up early enough to actually do my nails. I couldn't decide on what look to do so I turned to my friend for suggestions. She said gravestones, so I took that and ran with it.

Also, Whistling Past The Graveyard is my favorite Screamin' Jay Hawkins song.
Zoya: Kelly
White and Black acrylic paint
Sally Hansen: Lightening
China Glaze: Ghoulish Glow
I love them so much!!!!!!

Until tomorrow my pretties!!!

The Cat's Meow

Hi hi hi!! So sorry for posting this late. I just got back from our camping trip not too long ago. It was perfect!!! This weekend, the weather here in Boston has been in the 80s which is very odd for October! But it was amazing. The water was warm. The moon was shining bright. There was the most amazing breeze. It was my first time camping too!

Anyways, I really like today's manicure. As I was putting on the top coat, I smiled a huge smile. I didn't except them to turn out this amazing! Ok ok ok enough of me blowing my own horn. Onwards to the manicure!

Orange Strips:
China Glaze- Cross Iron 360
KISS Striping tool in Black

Cat Eyes:
China Glaze- Near Dark
Piggy Polish- I'll Get You My Pretty
OPI- I Only Date Werewolves

The eyes glow in the dark.
